sad reality

So here I am posting pictures (and there are a lot) of Sungmin and there are people dying in China because of earthquake #45654 this year (there were so many this year.) Is there going to be another tsunami. I feel so sELFish. well, there is nothing i could do but pray right? Well, i think giving them condolences is the least I could do.

i don't know if this is true or not, but this

http://www.kpoplive.com/2010/04/14/sme-demands-2-2-billion-won-in-compensation-from-3-members-of-dbsk/

is ridiculous. I mean really really ridiculous. This just dispels any happy thoughts on Korean (or any) music industry. As fans, we see sometimes or most of the time, the members' smiles and their waves. Of course, they want to leave a good impression on us, and make us think they are happy. I read on Hangeng's stuff (poor him), and I realize what a crappy industry this could be. Overworked and underpaid. Sure we think that they (members) make a lot of $$ but I hear that only 2% of the revenues go to the members. WTH. Poor Hangeng had to leave his brothers who he grew up with for 10 years and have to move on because of the contract unfairness. But this is fairytale compared to what DBSK is going through now as the main leader is now gone. It's becoming a mess. I know zero DBSK song, although I heard MIROTIC once, and it was alright. But it didn't float my boat as much as SJ. The HOTTEST (DBSK fans call themselves), they must be devastated. My gosh, it's the same way if Leeteuk was to leave and everything becomes a complete mess. this music industry is nasty. Unfortunately, as I got to know SJ, I am learning more about the dark secrets of music industries. These boys and girls may be smiling on the inside, but how are they in the inside. Think about it. They are treated like puppets. I mean Leeteuk and Eunhyuk explained how they pulled a few all-nighters and another member (forgot whom) only sleeps 4 hours a day. That's terrible ! NO wonder this Hangeng business happened. And I'm sure there was discrimination since he is ..... Chinese, not Korean. I'm sure that came into play. But the article above (it may be a rumor though), it's terrible. And the company that owns SJ, Shinee, DBSK, SNSD, etc, I dunno,... they are the largest music company. No wonder Leeteuk talks about loneliness and the price of fame. Poor Leeteuk. I worry about him as a noona.

Yes, these boys and girls may be smiling on the outside, but how are they on the inside? They may be crying. Fans think that they are happy, and that is probably the image that the members (whatever group it is, not just SJ) are trying to portray so that they wouldn't make the fans worry. But they are just merely puppets, if you think about it. They don't have much freedom to do whatever, they are doing what they are told to do, in a public eye. I don't envy them, with their militant schedules and sleeplessness. I can't imagine the torture. I guess in return, they get 1,000,000s of fans (1X10^6). I always wonder and worry what Sj is doing and feeling, etc. Hey I am a psychologist by nature, so I think how it is like to be them. And so with the other groups. They say 40% of entertainers contemplate suicide, so who knows? Sure I am posting pictures of handsome boys with smiling faces, but they are enslaved to a system if u think about it. Sure they have 1,000,000s of fans, but what if their popularity disappear? I mean I will surely remember them for a long time, if not, until...., but seriously, I know there are a lot of things to worry about in this world. But they are humans in a system. they have shown their humanness. THey did not grow up in ordinary teens, 20s. They range from early to late 20s. I see the nastiness of music industry, that it is not happy, dreamy thing, but in reality, it's a dog-eat-dog world. I hope the boys are okay mentally, emotionally and physically as most fans are worried about as well. So goes it with the female groups. I hope they are able to go back to normalcy, whatever they end up doing later in life and be healthy adults.
